Fitness Classes

A group fitness class is more than just a great workout- it provides a sense of support, community, friendship, and motivation!  Including fitness classes in your weekly workout routine can help you stay committed to meeting your fitness goals.  The support of the instructor and the other members of the class keep everyone moving forward. In this environment it is easier to push yourself and remain committed to the activity. The best classes motivate you to work harder than you would on your own.The structure of a fitness class helps you to maximize your workout.

Fitness instructors carefully plan their classes and lead you through a series of movements to specifically target certain areas of your body. This structure allows you to focus on working hard without worrying about what to do next- you can rely on the expertise of the instructor! This is one of the many reasons group fitness has been proven as one of the fastest ways to get your body in great shape!In addition to the reasons listed above, fitness classes are simply more fun than working out alone! ABS-

Description: This basic mat abs class focuses on the muscles of the core so that you can get the rock-hard abs you have always wanted! This class partners well with Yoga.
Duration: 25 min.
Average calories burned: 75-200 calories (based on intensity and level of fitness)

BALLETONE-

Description: This intense class is a combination of ballet dance, pilates, and yoga using various movements for a complete body workout.
Duration: 30 min.
Average calories burned: 1750-400 calories (based on intensity and level of fitness)

BODY SCULPT or BODYWORKS-

Description: Body Sculpt is a cardiovascular strength training fitness program that’s designed to shape and tone your body without building muscular size or bulk. The course was developed to teach the proper way to work out with weights.
Duration: 1 hour
Average calories burned: 200-300 calories (based on intensity and level of fitness)

BOOT CAMP-

Description: Boot Camp is a circuit training that alternates strength training with aerobic exercise to give you two workouts in one. Boot camp is a great way to challenge your body with an intense, efficient workout.
Duration: 1 hour
Average calories burned: 400-700 calories (based on intensity and level of fitness)

CYCLING-

Description: Cycling is a great workout to improve cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength. It is high intensity interval training, but is open to all fitness levels- workouts are performed to music on a stationary bike and participants choose their own personal training intensity. Bring a towel and a water bottle and be prepared to work up a sweat.
Duration: 45 min to 1 hour

GROUP CENTERGY YOGA®-

Description: Grow longer and stronger as you explore this 60 minutes journey of yoga and pilates movements. Positive uplifting music, group dynamics and supportive instructors will enable you to center your energy, reduce stress, and even smile!

CARDIO KICKBOXING-

Description: This class uses a variety of boxing and martial arts moves to help you burn hundreds of calories and leave feeling strong and powerful. This non-contact cardio class is great for all fitness levels- no experience necessary!

PILATES-

Description: Pilates is core training at its best- it is a concentrated workout focusing on toning and conditioning your core and total body.
Duration: 55 minutes

PUR MOTION-

Description: PUR Motion is a training system that was created to work the body as an integrated unit performing the basic movements of pushing/pulling, locomotion, lever changes, and rotation. Individuals will elicit higher levels of work capacity and performance if such movements are performed at high intensity.

SILVER SNEAKERS

Description: Silver Sneakers is designed to increase strength, range of movement, and flexibility. Dumb bells, elastic tubing and balls are used for resistance. A chair is available and standing support if needed.
Duration: 50 minutes

STEP CIRCUIT-

Description: High energy athletic training! Experience this fat-blasting, drill-based interval Step class. It is the perfect combination of strength, agility, and cardiovascular overload that will help improve skills in all athletic pursuits as well as everyday life. Burns hundreds of calories!
Duration: 55 minutes

YOGA and YOGATONE-

Description: Grow longer and stronger as you explore this journey of Yoga and Pilates movements. Great music and supportive instructors will enable you to center your energy and reduce stress.  YogaTone focuses more on the strength training side of yoga.

ZUMBA®-

Description: Are you ready to party yourself into shape? Zumba® is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health. It fuses Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will tone and sculpt your body while you get a great cardiovascular workout. You will have so much fun shaking your hips and grooving you will not even realize that you are burning hundreds of calories!
